In the foreground is the Memorial Tree, planted in 1919 in honor of the Plymouth Boys who died in the World War. The Plymouth Training Green is located on Sandwich Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Veteran's Day and Memorial Day parades end with a ceremony on the Plymouth Training Green.
In the center is the Grand Army of the Republic monument. "In 1711, this area was designated as a training ground for local soldiers. It became a memorial park in 1889. The monument is dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Civil War and the War of 1812." ~ The Plymouth Patch
About Janice Drew
A life-long resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts, I have been pursuing my passion for landscape photography ever since retiring. Much of my work is captured primarily in and around my historic hometown and nearby areas on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
My photography represents how I view the world. I am drawn to beauty in simplicity. It is where I find the most peace. It is my hope that my photos will evoke same emotions within the viewers.
Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. I hope you like my pictures as much as I enjoy photography.
