This photograph was taken on the day before the Thanksgiving parade in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The American flag flies over Water Street where the parade ends at Plymouth Rock.
The statue on Cole's Hill is Massasoit, Sachem of the Wampanoag Indians of New England who help the Pilgrim colony at Plymouth, Massachusetts (1620) to thrive. Up until his death, he remained a friend to the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony. The statue is the work of sculptor, Cyrus Edwin Dallin (1861-1944).
A life-long resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts, I have been pursuing my passion for landscape photography ever since retiring. Much of my work is captured primarily in and around my historic hometown and nearby areas on the South Shore of Massachusetts. My photography represents how I view the world.
