Artist's Description

White house, red foundation and window boxes filled with pink petunias caught my eye on a walk on Leyden Street, the first street in Plymouth, Massachusetts. This house was built in 1835 by Capt. Samuel D. Holmes who was the master of the sloop,"Harriet". The house in the distance was built on the site where the Pilgrims built their first house.

About Janice Drew

Janice Drew

A life-long resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts, I have been pursuing my passion for landscape photography ever since retiring. Much of my work is captured primarily in and around my historic hometown and nearby areas on the South Shore of Massachusetts. My photography represents how I view the world. I am drawn to beauty in simplicity. It is where I find the most peace. It is my hope that my photos will evoke same emotions within the viewers. Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. I hope you like my pictures as much as I enjoy photography. PLEASE NOTE: The FineArtAmerica watermark does NOT appear on sold images.
