Description
The LeBaron's bell is located at the Hedge House on the waterfront in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The plaque at the base reads:
"The LeBarons, like the Hedges, are among Plymouth's first families and count a number of common descendants, many with Plymouth roots.
In 1990, Dean Francis LeBaron commissioned the casting of the bell by the Perner Foundry in Passau, Germany, which employed many of the same techniques used by its founder in 1701.
Ten of the generations of the LeBaron's family paternal lineage are chronicled on the bell, beginning with the Plymouth Colony physican, Frenchman Francis LeBaron (1668-1704), and his wife, Mary Wilder (1668-1737), and ending with Dean LeBaron (1933- ), his wife, Donna Carpenter LeBaron (1955- ), his children and grandchildren.
