Taken from Burial Hill on Spring Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts, I focused on the newly renovated cupola of the 1820 Plymouth County Courthouse. It has been painted brown to match the original color of the 19th century cupola. Restoration of the old courthouse began in 2016.
A life-long resident of Plymouth, Massachusetts, I have been pursuing my passion for landscape photography ever since retiring. Much of my work is captured primarily in and around my historic hometown and nearby areas on the South Shore of Massachusetts. My photography represents how I view the world. I am drawn to beauty in simplicity. It is where I find the most peace. It is my hope that my photos will evoke same emotions within the viewers. Thank you for taking the time to look and comment. I hope you like my pictures as much as I enjoy photography. PLEASE NOTE: The FineArtAmerica watermark does NOT appear on sold images. The colors of the cupola are so warm and rich - and the Winter's backdrop makes for the perfect compliment .
Janice Drew replied:
I am so use to seeing it white and green. This is a startling change for many of us. Definitely a rich brown color. Thanks, Janine.
