This statue on Cole's Hill in Plymouth, Massachusetts is Massasoit, Sachem of the Wampanoag Indians of New England who help the Pilgrim colony at Plymouth, Massachusetts (1620) to thrive. Up until his death, he remained a friend to the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony. The statue is the work of sculptor, Cyrus Edwin Dallin (1861-1944).
